Wonderful Set
i had a phone interview 7/11 and have yet to receieve a call to set up 2nd interview why?
I had a phone interview that went wonderful, I was then offered to have an interview at a on site location, I was told that i should be receiving a call the following week to schedule the date and time. Why haven't they phoned me to set up interview and what should i say in an email to show my interest?
While I can't say a specific reason why you've been waiting this long, I can offer some suggestions for your email.
First, and most important, thank them for giving you an interview. Mention that you were happy to have had the interview and the chance for a job at such a wonderful corporation/institution/etc.
Secondly, tell them you would like to follow up on that interview. Re-state your contact information and the times that you can be reached.
Lastly, thank them in advance for taking the time to contact you again. Sign off with an "I look forward to speaking with you."
Also, consider mailing them a note. Personal thank-you letters are always more appreciated than an email, which, due to the fact that they can be written and sent in 30 seconds, is perceived as "I don't have the time for a personal note with a personal touch, but I thought I should make this gesture because someone told me it was a good idea."
